System: The whole Speak2easy software system.

Sentence Information: While using Sentence Hunting, the system will automatic scan all sentences in the course file. Each sentence has a corresponding time range; this information is called Sentence Information.

Sentence Information File: After finishing Sentence Hunting, Sentence Information will be saved as ".bps" file.

Waveform Information: While using Sentence Hunting, the sound peaks of Course File will be collected automatically, the information is called Waveform Information.

Waveform Information File: After finishing Sentence Hunting, Sentence Information will be saved as ".pks" file.

Text Information: You can add Text Information by using the Courseware Maker; Text Information can be shown in the Original Text Box and the Translated Text Box.

Course File: All files that can be supported in Speak2easy. For instance: Audio CDs, Mp3, Realmedia, etc.

Courseware: Particularly means ".s2e" files which have included Sentence Information, Waveform Information, Text Information or Self-defined Study Mode Information.

This kind of file can be made by Courseware Maker, one of the Speak2easy's functions.

Playing Course File: The file that is currently playing or initialized by the system and is ready for playing. This file name will be shown in the Course File Box.

Study Method: A study procedure designed by yourself.
For example, you can make the system playing as following steps::
1) Play the original sound twice;
2) Wait for a few seconds for you to dictate;
3) Record and compare the original sound with recorded sound three times;
4) Finally show the original text and translated text.

Automatic Study Method: Studying the sentences produced by Sentence Hunting. You do not need to study according to a specific study procedure.

Manual Study Method: Cutting sentences manually using the Cut Button without using the sentences produced by Sentence Hunting. You do not need to study according to a specific study procedure.

Self-defined Study Method: Design you favorite study procedure by using Define Study Method first, then study every sentence using this method.
